Watch policemen in Dehradun play Holi with Shaktimaan the injured mare
The police horse suffered multiple fractures after being attacked during a violent political rally and had a leg amputated.
From brutality to an outpouring of affection. Shaktimaan the police horse who was fitted with a prosthetic leg a week ago is now part of Dehradun police’s Holi celebrations. In the video above, released by ANI, policemen can be seen daubing colours on the Shaktimaan offering traditional gujiyas and taking pictures.
The 14-year-old Kathiawari mare doesn’t look too comfortable with it all, though.
On March 14, the horse was allegedly hit by by a Bhartiya Janata Party legislator Ganesh Joshi during a political rally, which caused her to tumble and break a leg. The injury was beyond healing, and the leg had to be amputated.
The BJP legislator has denied assaulting Shaktimaan.
