Watch what happens when you light 5,200 black snakes (ok, they're fireworks) to celebrate July 4
Clearly, there are many ways to celebrate American Independence Day.
We've all done it or at least seen it. Every Diwali, little children set fire to little black pills. These little black pills release a black snake and plumes of the most evil black smoke imaginable and little black circles on a multitude of surfaces. But hey, it's fun. (And hugely polluting.)
One YouTuber went the whole hog. Almost. For the recent July 4 celebrations in America, Adam Snoza decided to spend seven hours setting up 18 cases of snakes or 864 packages, which made 5184 snakes. Plus a few extra for good measure. Once this "experiment" was set up, it took a few seconds for the giant snake to come out and disintegrate. But it sure gets an "E for Effort".
This feat is nothing compared to the one on an episode of South Park. Summer has come to the sleepy town and there is nothing to do. There is a statewide ban on fireworks. But there is a loophole in the ban, for black snakes are not included. So the mayor of the town decides to light the biggest snake in the world for the Fourth of July celebrations. Things do not end well for the town.
Black snake burning is a popular activity on Youtube. Here's another attempt – the video even offers a DIY recipe so you can make the snakes at home.
