Watch: A stand-up comedian tries to be funny about Chetan Bhagat (which shouldn’t be too difficult)
‘Same story, different titles,’ represents the bestselling author’s career graph, contents Manoj Mento.
Chetan Bhagat has opinions on many things. And everyone has an opinion on Chetan Bhagat. Add stand-up comic Manoj Mento to their numbers.
Except that this performance (video above) is a less than good-humoured takedown of the bestselling writer and his works. Contending, for instance, that Bhagat keeps writing the same book, only with different titles. Much like, apparently, Tamil film director Gautham Menon.
Mento also snipes at Bhagat’s career graph, claiming it’s going downhill. The writer will probably have a different view there. Although Mento’s argument, based on the sequence of numbers in Bhagat’s book titles – a signature of the author’s – is mildly amusing.
