Every government has its pros and cons, but stand-up comedian Sundeep Sharma has one specific development in mind when it comes to the Narendra Modi administration.
“After three years of the Modi government, there is certainly one benefit – train and flight fares have become the same,” he says wryly during his routine (video above). “No, flight fares haven’t increased, train fares have just increased to the same price. It’s wonderful, really.”
Sharma has a lot to make fun of when it comes to the railways. For instance, the evergreen IRCTC website that has remained consistent – still as slow as ever – and evergreen – still as inefficient as ever.
“Don’t get me wrong, Indian Railways is excellent,” quips Sharma. “Did you know Indian trains even have wi-fi now? The wi-fi on Indian trains is like the SBI ATMs – it’s there, but it doesn’t work.”
