Astronauts aboard the International Space Station are about to get a brand new companion. A robot called Cimon, it will gladly challenge them to a Rubik’s Cube contest when it isn’t busy.

Cimon can be best described as a computerised, interactive robot, and according to the video above by Seeker, it is also a “floating brain” with a happy smiling face. Cimon, who is geared with AI technology, is designed to assist astronauts on their missions on the ISS.

But Cimon isn’t the only addition up there. There will also be a robotic 3D printed drone that can move around on its own and take videos and pictures from space. The drone can be controlled from Earth in real time.
