India maintained their unbeaten run in the Asia Cup after completing a comprehensive nine-wicket win over the United Arab Emirates on Thursday in Dhaka. Batting first, UAE limped to 81/9 in their 20 overs, before Rohit Sharma and company reached the target in just 61 balls.

A minute's silence was observed before the game in memory of former New Zealand captain Martin Crowe, who died of cancer at the age of 53 earlier in the day. UAE were put in to bat by Dhoni, and hardly got going, with only two of their batsmen getting into double figures. More than half of their eventual total of 81 was scored by Shaiman Anwar, who hit a 48-ball 43.

With their spot in the final confirmed, India had rested some of their key bowlers for the game. However, their replacements did the job perfectly with Bhuvneshwar Kumar finishing with 2/8 in his four overs, and both Harbhajan Singh and debutant Pawan Negi picking up a wicket each.

Rohit Sharma started off the chase by pounding seven fours and a six, before holing out to third-man for a 28-ball 39. Yuvraj Singh (25*) and Shikhar Dhawan (16*) then came together with the score at 43/1, and took their team home with ease. India will play Bangladesh in the final on Sunday.
