SSC Paper Leak: Protesters give 15-day ultimatum to Centre
The candidates demanded that CBI probe should be overseen by a Supreme Court-monitored committee.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) candidates protesting outside the SSC office in New Delhi have demanded to the Centre that CBI probe on the SSC paper leak be monitored by a Supreme Court committee. The protesters have given a 15-day ultimatum to meet their demands. They have also demanded that the SSC does not conduct any other examination until the CBI probe is done.
The protesters also met Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday who assured his support for the protest. He termed the scam as nationalisation of Vyapam and asked the government to not play with the future of the youth.
Swaraj India leader Anupam addressing the protesters on Friday said, “A government, which so brazenly ignores the genuine and just demands of students, has no moral right to remain in power. Hence, students from all over the country will assemble in Delhi on March 31 against the ongoing corruption and irregularities in recruitment to government jobs.”
If the demands are not fulfilled by the government, the protesters have called for the country’s youth to gather at the national capital on March 31st for #YuvaHallaBol to protest against irregularities in recruitment for government jobs and demand the resignation of Jitendra Singh (Union Minister of State for Personnel).
