Dena Bank has announced the examination date for the admission to its Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) 2017. The online examination will be conducted through Institute for Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) on June 2nd, 2018. Call letters for the examination will be available soon on the IBPS website, as per the Dena Bank notification.

The 12-month postgraduate diploma course is held through Amity University to impart those taking the course ‘with the necessary knowledge and skills required to be good all-round bankers.’

In an earlier notification, Dena Bank said that the bank can accommodate a maximum of 300 candidates. This number is provisional and may vary depending on the future needs of the bank. Three batches of students will be taken in by Amity University under the current selection exercise. Dena Bank will decide on the intake of students in each batch, based on the bank’s requirements. After completion of the course, successful candidates are offered appointment in the bank as Probationary Officer in Junior Management Grade Scale-I.

Minimum qualifications for Dena Bank PGDBF 2017

  • Candidates need to have a graduate degree with a minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST/PWD) from a recognized university.

The Dena Bank notification was released on April 17th, 2017 and the original date for examination was June 11th, 2017. But the examination was indefinitely postponed due to ‘certain administrative exigencies’. Registration for the examination closed on May 9th, 2017.
