The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the result of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2018 sometime today, April 30th, 2018. The board will also release the All India Ranking for the exam with the result. Candidates can check the JEE Main exam result online at the official CBSE website, cbseresults.nic.in. The results will also be available at jeemain.nic.in and results.nic.in.

The official CBSE result website (cbseresults.nic.in) states that the JEE Main results for both Paper-I and Paper-II are likely to be announced on April 30th, but has not given an exact time when it will be released.

CBSE conducts the JEE exam for admissions to the various institutions including the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), the National Institute of Technology (NIT) and centrally-funded technical institutes (CFTI). The CBSE JEE exam score is also used by other institutions for admissions.

In 2018, more than 10 lakh candidates appeared for the JEE Main exam in 112 cities. The offline exam was conducted in 104 cities across nine countries.

In 2017, the Ministry of Human Resource Development made few changes in the admissions to IIT, NIT, and CFTI through JEE Main. The ministry stated that no weightage would be given to the marks of 12th, but that candidates should have secured at least 75% (65% for SC/ST) marks or should be among the top 20 percentile in their Class 12 exams in their respective boards.
