The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will declare the results of the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), or the class 10 exam, and the Indian School Certificate (ISC), or the Class 12 exam, on Monday May 14th, at 3pm. The results will be made available on the CISCE website, cisce.org, and also on cisce.azurewebsites.net.

The CISCE will hold a press conference to announce the results of the 2018 ICSE and ISC exams at the Council’s office, in Noida. The ICSE exam was conducted from February 26th to March 28th this year, while the ISC exam was held between February 7th to April 2nd.

Last year around 1.75 lakh students appeared for the ICSE exam and the total pass percentage of the exam was 98.53%. In contrast, around 74,000 students appeared for the ISC exams and 96.47% cleared the exam.

How to check the ICSE and ISC 2018 exam results

  1. Log on to the official CISCE website (cisce.org).
  2. Click on ‘Results 2018’.
  3. Select the course (ICSE or ISC), enter your UID Number, and feed in the Captcha code.
  4. The marks will be displayed and can be printed out for reference.

The CISCE has reduced the pass percentages for both ICSE and ISC this year. The pass percentage for class 10th or ICSE is 33%, down from 35%; while the pass percentage for the ISC exam will be 35%, down from 40%.

Also, as per an NDTV report, this year the practical exams are supposed to be evaluated at the school itself on the day of the exam, rather than in centralized marking centres. These factors are expected to improve the overall pass percentage of The ICSE and ISC 2018 exams.
