The second merit list for the first year junior college (FYJC) admission in the state of Maharashtra will not be released today as per the earlier given schedule. The official SESD website states that as per the order of Mumbai High Court Nagpur Bench on July 12th, the FYJC second merit list will be released on July 19th at 11 a.m.

The merit list for all six regions – Mumbai, Pune, Amravarti, Nagpur, Nashik and Aurangabad – will be made available on their respective official websites. The official website for Mumbai FYJC admission is mumbai.11thadmission.net; for Pune it is pune.11thadmission.net.

The first merit list for FYJC admissions in Maharashtra was declared on July 6th. As per reports, around 2.3 lakh candidates had applied for admissions to various colleges, out of which 1.2 lakh candidates were allocated seats.

The admission based on the second merit list is expected to be conducted on July 19th and 20th, but there is no official word on this round of admissions or revised dates for subsequent merit lists. The Maharashtra government School Education and Sports Department (SESD), which is responsible for FYJC admissions, is expected to release a revised schedule soon.

The date for Maharashtra FYJC admissions based on the first merit list was extended up to July 11th in Mumbai due to heavy rains.
