The Honor’s much anticipated Nova 3 and Nova 3i was launched today for the Indian market at an event in Delhi. The phones, which were launched in China last month, have been introduced with attractive price tags available exclusively through Amazon India. The key highlight though is the four-camera setup offered on both the devices.

The online retailer had earlier announced the exclusive launch and collaboration with Honor and now the smartphones additionally get what the company calls ‘smart shopping with AI’ feature that allows users to purchase items online ‘based on images’.

Both the devices get dual front and rear cameras and 6.3-inch notched display screen, though Nova 3 is the pricier of the two and gets host of extra features compared to Nova 3i. The premium phone Nova 3 is priced at Rs. 34,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128 GB memory variant and is equipped with 24MP primary and a 16MP secondary camera with AI features at the back. On top of that, it sports a 24MP+2MP dual front cameras with AI features that can recognize up to eight different scenes.

Nova 3i, the toned down version amongst the two offerings, is priced at Rs. 20,990 for the 4GB with 128GB storage variant and the only phone in this price range to boast dual front and rear cameras.

Pre-booking offers have already begun on Amazon and the phone will go on sale from August 7th. The availability of the premium Nova 3 has not been revealed yet, but interested buyers can opt to get notified of the same on the Amazon website.

On the similarities front, both Nova 3 and Nova 3i are equipped with Huawei’s GPU turbo system which the company claims enhances performance and reduces power consumption. They also get the AI-powered 3D Qmojis feature which is slowly becoming a norm.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Huawei Nova 3 runs EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and features a 6.3-inch full HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 85% NTSC colour gamut. Under the hood, there is an Octa-core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, coupled with Mali-G72 GPU and 6GB of RAM. The dual rear camera setup includes a 16MP primary sensor and a 24MP secondary sensor. Huawei’s Nova 3i as well is a dual SIM (Nano) phone like its sibling and runs EMUI 8.2 based on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It gets the similar 6.3-inch full-HD+ but is powered by a smaller Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. In the camera department, the Huawei Nova 3i bears a vertically stacked dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The front section of the handset has a dual camera setup with a 24-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary unit. The smartphone is equipped with 128GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.
