The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will begin its second round of engineering counselling for 2018 from July 31st, according to a notification released on the official website. The first round of COMEDK counselling was held in Bangalore from July 16th to 27th.

The second round of COMEDK counselling, which begins on July 31st, will run up to August 8th. Candidates can check the COMEDK counselling schedule at this link. Seven Sessions of counselling will be held each day, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., from August 1st to 8th.

The first day of the COMEDK counselling process , July 31st, is dedicated for special counselling, with the first session of the day reserved for Tulu and Christian minority candidates from Karnataka. The second session is for non-Karnataka candidates from Christian minority, and the third is for Karnataka candidates belonging to Hyderabad-Karnataka region.

The COMEDK website also released a notification detailing the process of surrendering of seats for candidates who were allocated seats in the first round and who desire to withdraw their application. The full process of surrendering seats can be accessed at this link.

The COMEDK has released an updated list of documents that candidates are expected to carry with them at the time of counselling. Students are required to bring their COMEDK rank card, COMEDK application form, COMEDK TAT, their ID proof, ID proof of their parents/guardian, candidate’s proof of date of birth, 12th mark sheet, and other community certificate if applying for quota seats.

The results and rank cards for COMEDK 2018 exam were released on May 27th. The first rank was bagged by Durbha Aditya of National Public School, Bengaluru, who scored 168 marks out of 180. The second and third ranks were also secured by candidates from Bengaluru.
