Maharashtra: Bhujbal could have amassed Rs 2,000 crore
The Anti-Corruption Bureau in Maharashtra on Tuesday conducted raids on 17 properties belonging to Chhagan Bhujbal, the Nationalist Congress Party leader and former state deputy chief minister. The raids were conducted in connection with two reports of corruption filed against Bhujbal by the agency. The agency claims that Bhujbal has amassed wealth up to Rs 2,000 crore. According to reports, the properties were spread over Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Nashik.

Andhra Pradesh:  No notice to Chandrababu in scam case immediately
After frenzied speculation on Tuesday that the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau would serve notice on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the cash-for-votes scam, officials indicated that this was not likely to happen immediately. The speculation began early in the day when ACB chief AK Khan met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to discuss the progress in the investigation of the scam. When this was reported by news channels, Naidu reacted by meeting with Director-General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, JV Ramudu and Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao. The Andhra Pradesh government also constituted a special team to investigate 87 cases against the Telangana chief minister by various people in Andhra Pradesh on charges of phone-tapping and harassment of TDP functionaries in Hyderabad.

Bihar: Ex-RJD MP misbehaves with airhostess
According to reports, an ex-Rashtriya Janata Dal Member of Parliament, Pappu Yadav, allegedly misbehaved with flight staff on a Jet Airways flight from Patna on Wednesday. The incident took place when an airhostess asked Yadav not to throw leftover food in the aisle. "Yadav was extremely unruly with the cabin crew when she asked him not to throw the leftover food in the aisle and also misbehaved with her," an airline official said. Yadav denied the incident. While Jet Airways admitted an incident onboard its Patna flight, it did not disclose the identity of the passenger invovled.

Kerala: State seeks Central intervention on emigration 
Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy requested the Union Government to exempt nurses who have cleared job interviews before May 30 from emigration clearance. Chandy made the request because Indian embassies in 18 countries where emigration clearance is mandatory have not taken steps to ensure effective implementation in coordination with the private sector employers or the governments concerned. Chandy said that this has resulted in a situation where Indians cannot go for jobs in 18 countries after May 30. "Indians will lose job opportunities in these countries if the Centre does not take prompt action," Chandy said.

Delhi: AAP blames Jung for lack of marshals on buses
The Aam Admi Party blamed Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung for failing to deploy marshals in Delhi Transport Corporation buses. AAP raised questions about the government-allotted Nirbhaya Fund, which had been created after a gang-rape took place on December 16, 2012 in a moving bus. Around 4,000 to 4,500 marshals were meant to have been deployed in buses, but according to AAP, Jung had not moved ahead with plan them.
