We live in unique times. Never before has an entire nation of 1.3 billion been required to stay at home for weeks at a time. Social distancing is fast becoming a way of life and people are learning to maintain a safe distance in order to curb the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus. To make the lockdown and the social distancing successful, it only makes sense to reduce the need to step out as much as possible.

With malls, shops, commercial establishments and retail stores shuttered for the next two weeks, e-commerce companies are doing their bit by ensuring their delivery services are amped up for essential items, which include household staples, packaged food, health care, hygiene products, personal safety products etc. and, of course, medicines and medical devices.

The most crucial link in making this happen, of course, is the on-ground delivery personnel who are out and about delivering essential goods door-to-door while everyone stays put at home. These daily heroes are doing their duties and have one message for the customers they serve. Watch the video below to see what they have to say.

Amit Agarwal, Amazon India’s global senior vice president and country head, tweeted, “To serve our customers’ most urgent needs while also ensuring the safety of our associates, we are prioritizing (with immediate effect) all our resources to serve products that are currently high priority. Stay safe!” Amazon India and other e-commerce companies such as BigBasket, Grofers, Medlife etc. are committed to safe and smooth supply chain operations, and the safety of their delivery personnel.

Alongside healthcare workers, e-commerce delivery personnel are on the frontline working hard to restore normalcy in trying times. Their message of #HumSabEkSaath is indeed heartening and deserves appreciation from all. To do your bit, #StayHome and #StaySafe.
