The multi-format series in Australia is done and dusted and India has lessons aplenty to learn before the next tour – the World Cup one to New Zealand.

But for Indian cricket fans, there’s still something to look forward to Down Under with as many as eight Indians set to play the Women’s Big Bash League. Here’s what she had say about WBBL.

The Player of the match and series is, to little surprise, is Tahlia McGrath. To think she’s a newcomer to T20 international cricket! As Harmanpreet said, this is the WBBL impact.

Some reactions to the match

Australia win by 14 runs.
Carey bowls the last over of the series, Sharma starts off with a boundary and Ghosh smacks back-to-back, cleanly-hit Sixes and another boundary. But it’s too little, too late as Australia win the final T20I by 14 runs to comprehensively claim dominance in the multi-format series.

India 113/6 after 19 overs.
Just 5 runs off the penultimate over from Molineux. A bit of formality now as India need 36 runs off the final 6 balls.

India 109/6 after 18 overs.
Richa Ghosh with a cheeky scoop right over her and the keeper’s head for four! Small moments but important for the batter. Deepti Sharma is the new bat in. 8 runs and a wicket off the over from Sutherland.

WICKET! Harleen Deol is out on 2 off 4. India 101/6 after 17.1 overs.
Harleen Deol is caught well short while returning for the second run with Richa Ghosh. Australia’s gun fielding at it again.

WICKET! Pooja Vastrakar is out on 5 off 3. India 101/5 after 17 overs.
First ball of the over – Vastrakar smashes Carey down the ground for Four.
Second ball of the over – Carey has Vastrakar bowled off a yorker.
Umpire check for a front-foot no ball but she’s good and Australia are igniting the infamous Indian collapse. The 100 comes up for India in the over as well.

WICKET! Harmanpreet Kaur is out on 13 off 16. India 95/4 after 16 overs.
Another good, jumping catch from Meg Lanning this time as Annabel Sutherland gets her first wicket. The Indian captain tries to go big but doesn’t get anything on the shot.

Some numbers from Smriti Mandhana’s superb series

WICKET! Smriti Mandhana is out on 52 off 49. India 93/3 after 15 overs.
FIFTY and OUT as the set Indian batter departs. A miscue from Mandhana but an excellent, running-backwards catch from Meg Lanning. India is proper trouble now, need 57 runs in 30 balls.

FIFTY for Smriti Mandhana! (51 off 46 balls)
The India opener scores her fifth fifty against Australia and gets there with a lovely touch, placing a full toss to the boundary.
No matter the result, Mandhana loves batting in Australia and in chases. We should enjoy this!

India 86/2 after 14 overs, need 64 runs in 36 balls.
Molineux returns and Mandhana carves out a boundary on the first ball and keeps the runs ticking with 9 off it. At this stage, 9 a over is also not enough though.

India 77/2 after 13 overs, need 73 runs in 42 balls.
Gardner returns for her final over and India farm a boundary apiece for both Mandhana and Harmanpreet. A good over for the visitors after what seems like a while.

India 66/2 after 12 overs, need 84 runs in 48 balls.
Harmanpreet Kaur is the new bat in and the team needs the captain to do what she does best more than ever now. Annabel Sutherland into the attack and gives away 4 runs in the over. The required rate is nearing 11 now.

WICKET! Jemimah Rodrigues is out on 23 off 26. India 62/2 after 11 overs.
Georgia Wareham strikes and Rodrigues is dismissed soon after hitting her first boundary off the match. She holes it out to long-off just when the partnership was shifting gears.

India 54/1 after 10 overs, need 96 runs from 60 balls
The 50 comes up for India at the halfway mark. It’s also the 50-run stand between Mandhana and Rodrigues. It was another sedate over from Molineux till Mandhana picked a boundary off the last ball to make it 7 runs off it.

India 47/1 after 9 overs.
Ash Gardner is back and bowls a tidy over with 4 singles and a half-hearted LBW appeal.

India 43/1 after 8 overs.
Pacer Nicola Carey comes in, goes round the wicket and Mandhana scores another picturesque boundary. 8 runs off it, while the required rate is at 9 per over.

India 34/1 after 7 overs.
Mandhana and Rodrigues trying hard to keep the scoreboard ticking, and both are good runners between the wickets too. Two doubles in the over from Wareham.

India 28/1 after 6 overs.
Left-arm spinner Sophie Molineux comes into the attack and gives away just 3 to wrap up what has been a good Powerplay for Australia.

India 25/1 after 5 overs.
A boundary, finally! Make that two off the over as Mandhana finally frees up her arms and goes for the shots. Vlaeminck responds with back-to-back wide balls and Mandhana responds with a third boundary, a gorgeously timed stroke through covers from the southpaw. 14 runs off the over, much needed zing from India.

India 11/1 after 4 overs.
Four singles from the fourth over as the pressure builds up.

India 7/1 after 3 overs.
Jemimah Rodrigues is the new bat in. But the cautious start continues with just two runs off the Vlaeminck over. The required rate is only going to climb.

WICKET! Shafali Verma is out on 1 off 3. India 5/1 after 2 overs.
Ash Gardner has been given the new ball today and she strikes in her first over. It was not the best of balls, a gift of a wicket from the young Indian really, as she pulls a wider delivery straight to the fielder fine leg.
Even the bowler didn’t expect it, look at her reaction!

India 2/0 after 1 over.
A sedate start from the Indian openers against the pace of Vlaeminck. A lot is riding on them if India are to have a chance in this chase.

Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma in the middle. Can India finish on a high? Tayla Vlaeminck will go all out again.

Innings break: Without Mooney & McGrath (McMoon, as one user pointed out) Australia would be in some deep waters this series. But 150 is not the worst target to chase for India, if they get off to a good start.

From 73/4 to 149/5, the Tahlia McGrath effect! Yesterday’s Player of the Match shines today as well, with an unbeaten 44 off 31. And this is her first T20I series!

Deepti Sharma bowls the final over and Australia set the psychological mark target of 150. Some confusion after the final ball as the Aussies scamper for two and the stumps are broken... but is it the ball or the bowler’s hands? Multiple angles later, the third umpire adjudges her not out.

Shikha Pandey is back at the death but won’t be finishing her quota. Smart batting and running between the wickets from McGrath and Wareham makes it 10 off the over.

WICKET! Beth Mooney is out on 61 off 43. Australia 129/5 after 18 overs.
Mooney’s watch has ended, but not before another knock to remember. A superb diving catch from Harmanpreet Kaur off Rajeshwari Gayakwad. But it’s still Australia’s over with 16 runs off it as McGrath clobbers a Six and Four. She also loves batting against India!

Excellent shot from McGrath to start and end the over with boundaries, four dots in between for Vastrakar.

The 100 comes up for Australia in the 16th over as the runs and regular boundaries keep coming. Both batters are in great touch and the Indian fielding doesn’t help matters much.

Five overs to go, Mooney-McGrath on crease, the Australians would have a good feeling about this.

The Aussie opener has loved batting against India this series, hasn’t she? She continues in the final match with an excellent knock that has rescued her team after a shaky start and fall of early wickets. Australia 99/4 after 15 overs

Tahlia McGrath, the star of the last match, joins Beth Mooney on crease with the Aussie batting in trouble. Sounds familiar? Indians will not be a fan of this combination and look to break it ASAP.
Mooney into her 40s now, as Renuka Singh comes back in and gives away 5 singles.

WICKET! Ellyse Perry is out on 8 off 11. Australia 76/4 after 12 overs.
Deepti Sharma has her first wicket as Perry is caught on the long-on boundary line by Vastrakar. The Aussie tried to come down and thwack it over the ropes. but doesn’t get the right distance and the Indian takes a well-judged high catch.

Australia 64/3 after 10 overs.
Deepti Sharma into the attack and continues to build the pressure with just 4 runs off it. At the halfway mark, India seem to have a bit of an edge but we all know how deep the Australians bat and Lanning did say they were looking to set a total today.

STAT ALERT: Meg Lanning is the first Australian woman to be out hit wicket in white-ball international cricket (T20Is or ODIs) and just the seventh in women’s T20Is.

WICKET! Ash Gardner is out on 1 off 5. Australia 60/3 after 9 overs.
Pooja Vastrakar strikes! A fuller ball and Ash Gardner is lured... only to miss it to get an outside edge caught behind. With two quick wickets, India are right back into the game.

A closer look at that stunning Lanning dismissal. She is the first Australian woman to be out hit wicket in a T20I.

Harmanpreet Kaur brings herself in and set batter Beth Mooney lays it into her spin, starting the over with three straight boundaries. 14 runs off the over.

WICKET! Meg Lanning is out on 14 off 14. Australia 44/2 after 7 overs.
HIT-WICKET on what was a wonderfully punched backfoot boundary – that doesn’t happen very often! But that’s one way to get Meg Lanning out. India will take it though and the Aussie captain is annoyed at herself. She had scored a neat boundary on the previous ball, and made it back-to-back... but she went so deep into her crease to play the spin of Gayakwad, her bat ended up dislodging her bail.

Pooja Vastrakar to bowl the final over of Powerplay. Lanning gets a classic, well-timed boundary to make it 9 runs off it. After that early wicket, Australia has rebuilt well to make it a balanced start.

Spin comes in early as Rajeshwari Gayakwad replaced Shikha Pandey after that expensive over. Good call from India and a good over too with four singles, till Lanning places the last ball through the third region for a boundary.

Much better over from the Indian perspective with just 3 singles off it. Renuka Singh doing well to maintain pressure.

A very good over for Australia with1 3 runs off it. Meg Lanning is the new bat in but Beth Mooney scores three straight boundaries of Shikha Pandey to reset after the first two overs were all India. Key word though here is.... fielding. India’s hamartia.

WICKET! Alyssa Healy is out on 4 off 8. Australia 5/1 after 2 overs.
Renuka Singh Thakur has her first international wicket and it’s the big one! The pacer has just given a boundary and just when it looked like Australia will capitalise, she gets Healy caught behind. Keeper Richa Ghosh, standing up to the stumps, pouches the outside edge after it hit her on the thumb and ricocheted up. Good catch, good over, good start for India.

Shikha Pandey to Alyssa Healy... almost another insane swinger but not quite. Healy has changed her guard to cover her off stump better today. A shout for LBW as the ball shapes in sharp but the umpire doesn’t engage. Maiden over to begin.
