The Jaipur Pink Panthers gave it their all but the Patna Pirates were a little too good. In an enthralling final in Hyderabad on Sunday, the Pirates edged out the Pink Panthers 37-29 to win back-to-back titles, also becoming the first team to win two titles in the short history of the tournament.

Jaipur's Jasvir Singh was the main threat but the Pirates managed to subdue him on their way to a 16-11 lead.

And the Pirates ensured that they kept their foot on the accelerator by pushing ahead whenever the Jaipur Pink Panthers came too close.

In a touching display of sportsmanship, it was Jaipur's Jasvir Singh who congratulated the Panthers immediately after they had won the game.

It wasn't the only final of the day, though. In the final of the first ever Women's Kabaddi Challenge final, the Storm Queens found their moment in the sun, defeating the Firebirds 24-23 in a thrilling final which was decided only in the dying seconds. The third team in the league were the Ice Divas, who had finished second in the league but were eliminated in the qualifers earlier by the Firebirds.

Last but not the least, the Puneri Paltan finished third in the men's half of the tournament, after defeating the Telugu Titans 40-35 in the third-place playoff.
