Indian shooter Heena Sidhu failed to qualify for the women's 25m pistol semi-finals after finishing 18th overall. Sidhu had a disappointing start to her women's 25m pistol event on Tuesday after finishing 15th in the qualifying precision round. She recorded scores of 95, 95 and 96 in three series, ending up with a total of 286. Serbia's Bobana Veličković, who finished first, had a score of 295. Sidhu upped her game in the rapid game and shot 97, 97 and 96 in three series to total 290, but it wasn't to be enough Greece's Anna Korakaki topped the rapid round with a score of 297.
Sidhu had crashed out of the women's 10m air pistol event on Sunday after finishing 14th in the qualifiers. The world No 27 failed to replicate her gold medal winning performance at the 2013 World Cup.
