Thirty-eight year old Shiv Chawrasia improved on his own performance to card a two-under par 69 on Day 3 of the Olympic Men's Golf tournament being held at the Olympic Golf Course in Rio.
Chawrasia's best round of the tournament saw him finish the day at 2-under-par overall, tied for the 23rd position. Chawrasia had earlier carded two even-par-71s.
Anirban Lahiri's tournament just keeps going from bad to worse, as he shot a 4-over-par 75 to end the day tied at 57th, fourth from last in a field of 60. Lahiri's nemesis was once again the par-35 front nine, where he shot a 39 on Day 3. His overall tournament score is an abysmal 9-over-par.
Overnight leader Marcus Fraser of Australia slipped to third place as he shot a 70 to end Day 3 at 9-under-par. Justin Rose continued his charge up the leaderboard with a 6-under-par 65, the day's second best round, to climb to the top with a cumulative 12-under-par after 54 holes. There's one more day to go.
