Liverpool went a point clear of Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table as Jurgen Klopp's men overran Watford at Anfield.

Klopp watched on as his side destroyed Walter Mazzari's men with three goals in each half to send the Reds top of the Premier League table for the first time since May 6, 2014.

Jose Mourinho must have heaved a sigh of relief after Manchester United put three goals past Swansea in a dominant first half display. Zlatan Ibrahimovic's barren run ended at 609 minutes as the mercurial Swede bagged a brace at the Liberty Stadium.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur cancelled each other out in the first North London derby of the season. Arsenal now sit two points behind Liverpool in fourth while Tottenham sit a place below, three points behind their the Gunners. You can read more about the match here.

Rooney pitches in with two assists

Mourinho made six changes to the side that lost 2-1 to Feyenoord in the Europa League midweek as in came Ashley Young, Phil Jones, Michael Carrick, Marouanne Fellaini, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Paul Pogba scored the first goal from outside the box as a Swansea clearance fell kindly to him. Zlatan scored with a rasping drive from a similar position after Wayne Rooney set him up, beatin Lukasz Fabianski at his near post.

Rooney got his second assist of the match when Ibrahimovic ran at the Swans defence before slotting it past Fabianski. Mike van der Hoorn got one back for the home team when a Gylfi Sigurdsson free-kick found him unmarked in the box which the former Ajax defender headed past de Gea for a consolation.

Swansea sinking without a trace

Poor Bob Bradley has his hands full if Swansea are to survive their sixth top-flight campaign. The magic mark of 40 points looks far away with the Swans currently 19th with 5 points from their 11 games.

Against an United side struggling for form, two of Bradley's senior players, Wayne Routledge and Fernando Llorente badly let him down in the first half and were duly hauled off after the first half.

Routledge and Llorente had passing accuracies of 54.6% and 57.9%, and made a combined total of 30 passes, 1 cross, 1 dribble, zero key passes and shots. Not nearly good enough on a weekend when the other clubs in the bottom three, Hull and Sunderland, picked up all three points.

Can nothing stop Pool?

11 games, 26 points, 30 goals, top of the league and very likely, the end of the Jurgen Klopp critics Association. Actually, that would make for a very long headline but the message is clear: Pool are playing like there's no tomorrow and demolishing anything and everything that comes their way.

The records continue to tumble for Klopp and his Spice Boys 2.0. The Reds recorded 17 shots on target, the highest ever in the Premier League since Opta started keeping records in 2003.

In a majestic display of attacking football, Liverpool scored 4 for the 15th different game under Klopp and have even hit 6 thrice, in the span of a year.

Bobby Firmino scored one and assisted two to claim 'top dog' status on the night but Sadio Mane with two, Philippe Coutinho, Georginio Wijnaldum and even Emre Can all joined the feast to mark an ascent to the top after two and a half years.

Check this out: Daniel Sturridge came on for the last 20 minutes, had four shots on target and even hit the frame once. You know it's got to be good day when your left-back James Milner, has 91 touches and three attempts on target.
