Pakistani and Indian cricket officials are likely to meeting on December 17 to discuss suspended bilateral cricket ties, the PTI reported.
PTI cited a source in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as saying that the meeting will be held during the Asian Cricket Council meeting in Colombo.
The source stated that Thakur ruled out a bilateral series, but instead mooted a multi nation tournament featuring the two teams in India or at a neutral venue.
The two Boards are said to be at loggerheads after the ICC technical committee awarded six points to Pakistan after BCCI refused to send India’s women’s team to play against Pakistan in UAE.
Thakur has at various times clarified that India will not face Pakistan in bilateral ties owing to the heightened tensions between the two countries.
