India skipper Virat Kohli slipped to fourth place in the International Cricket Council rankings while Ravichandran Ashwin returned to being the top-ranked all-rounder, reported PTI.
Kohli, with 847 points, endured a poor run in the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar series with scores of 0,13,12 and 15. Meanwhile, Ashwin toppled Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan in the all-rounders charts. Ashwin is now on 434 points, 31 ahead of Shakib, who is 403.
Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja continued to share the top spot in the bowlers charts. Among other Indians, Cheteshwar Pujara held on to the sixth spot in the batting charts. With a century in Dunedin against South Africa, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson moved into the second spot in the batting charts.
Australia captain Steve Smith leads the batting charts by 69 points. England Test captain Joe Root is third in the table.
