James Anderson reached the milestone of 1,000 first-class wickets on Monday at Old Trafford — bowling from the James Anderson end — in the County Championship match between Lancashire and Kent.
Anderson, playing for Lancashire, picked up his 1,000th first-class wicket while completing a five-for within seven overs of the innings. He finished with career-best bowling figures of 7/19.
