Manager Pep Guardiola will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season
Carlo Ancelloti will replace him, but there is no word on where Guardiola will go next.
German club Bayern Munich's manager Pep Guardiola ended speculation about his next career move on Monday, announcing that he would leave the club at the end of the current Bundesliga season. The club announced that Carlo Ancelotti would take over from Guardiola.
Guardiola has been one of modern football's most successful coaches, leading Spanish giants Barcelona to 13 trophies in his four-year tenure for them from 2008 to 2012. After leaving Barcelona, Guardiola joined Munich in 2013 and has guided them to two league titles and the German Cup. Munich are also on top of the league this season and look set to win a third title in three years.
There is much speculation over where Guardiola will go next, especially with Chelsea sacking Jose Mourinho a few days ago. Another option could be Manchester United, where boss Louis van Gaal is increasingly coming under pressure after some recent horror showings by the Red Devils.
