Pakistani leg-spinner Yasir Shah was on Sunday provisionally suspended by the International Cricket Council after testing positive for a banned substance.
Shah has been charged with violating the ICC Anti-Doping Code. A sample taken from the bowler on November 13, when England played Pakistan in a One-Day International, was found to contain chlortalidone – a prohibited substance according to the World Anti-Doping Agency.
In accordance with the ICC Code, Shah has been provisionally suspended pending the outcome of the disciplinary process.
