Nearly five days after a Jet Airways bus crashed into a parked Air India plane at Kolkata's Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, the airline's recovery team finally managed to separate the two on Sunday morning. It has been almost 100 hours since the crash took place and the damaged aircraft is still not in a movable condition, reported India Today.
The bus was separated from the aircraft in a joint overnight operation started on Saturday evening by Air India and engineering teams from Mumbai and Kolkata. The aircraft was left badly damaged after the crash early on Tuesday morning. There were no passengers aboard the parked airplane when the incident occurred.
According to reports, the Jet Airways bus went out of control and hit the aircraft, which was scheduled to fly to Silchar, Assam.
