Australia on Saturday beat India 4-0 in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup final in Ipoh, Malaysia. Two goals each from Thomas Craig and Matt Ghodes won the Kookaburras the cup for a record ninth time, in what was an undefeated streak for the team in the championship.
Craig opened the scoring for the World No 1 team in the 25th minute, finding the net past Indian goalkeeper Akash Chikte. He doubled the lead in the 35th minute with his fourth goal of the tournament. Ghodes, who was playing in his 150th match, scored two more goals in the 43rd and 57th minutes.
This was India's seventh stint in a Sultan Azlan Shah Cup final. The World No 7 team has won the tournament five times in the past.
