'Hindustan' journalist Rajdev Ranjan shot dead in Bihar

Rajdev Ranjan, a journalist working for the Hindi daily Hindustan, was shot dead in Bihar's Siwan district on Friday, according to reports. Ranjan was the bureau chief of Hindustan and had over 20 years of experience, reported NDTV. He was shot twice – on his head and chest – from an extremely close range near Siwan's railway station, the report added. The motive behind the killing is unclear, as Ranjan had no personal enmity with anyone, the Bihar police said.
