The Central Board of Secondary Education on Saturday announced the results for the Class XII Senior School Certificate Examination 2016. Sukriti Gupta of Delhi's Montfort School topped the exams nationally, scoring 497 out of 500. In the differently-abled category, Mudita Jagota from Faridabad is the topper, The Hindu reported.

As many as 10,67,900 candidates registered for the board exam this year, which were held from March 1 to April 22. Girls fared better than boys with a pass percentage of 88.58%. Boys scored a pass percentage of 78.85%, ANI said. State capital of Kerala Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest overall pass percentage in the country at 97.61%.

Schools will get the results automatically on email IDs registered with the board. Students will also be able to access digital copies of their marksheets on the Centre’s “digital locker” service for personal documents launched last year. “DigiLocker account credentials will be sent to students via SMS on their mobile number registered with CBSE,” an official statement said.

Students can SMS “cbse12” to 51115 for their scores. The results are also available on Android app DigiResults and like last year, on interactive voice response services, PTI reported. Students can check their results here, here and here.
