Top LeT commander Abu Dujana supposedly spotted at Kashmir rally
While some reported he attended the protest wearing a mask, the police said they could not confirm that he was there.
A top militant of the Lashkar-e-Taiba was reportedly spotted at a protest rally in Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday. According to The Indian Express, Abu Dujana reportedly attended the gathering wearing a mask and was seen surrounded by a lot of people. The police, however, said they did not have confirmation of the LeT’s Kashmir chief’s presence.
Pakistan flags were waved at the rally that was organised by separatist groups to pay tribute to the those killed in the Valley over the past few weeks, reported dna. Apart from separatist leaders, parents and families of militants who had been killed by security forces attended the rally. The father of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, whose killing sparked the unrest, was also supposed to be there. He, however, did not attend.
Dujana is the mastermind behind several attacks including the one on a Central Reserve Police Force convoy at Pampore and another at Entrepreneurship Development Institute. Meanwhile, five people were injured in Shopian when protestors hit the streets, defying the curfew.
