If BSP or SP come to power, they will only work for a particular community, says Amit Shah
Addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP chief said his party believes in 'sabka saath, sabka vikas', unlike the state's ruling party and its opposition.
The Bahujan Samaj Party and the Samajwadi Party only work for a particular section of the society, Bharatiya Janata Party chief Amit Shah said in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, reported ANI. Addressing a public rally in Kakori, Shah said if either of the parties come to power, only a particular community will benefit, however, the saffron party believes in "sabka saath, sabka vikas".
“There has been no development in the country since Independence as the government was run by one family for 60 years,” Shah said at the event, according to The Indian Express. The rally was organised as part of the BJP's upcoming "Tiranga Yatra" starting on August 16. Taking a dig at the Akhilesh Yadav government, Shah said, "if SP or BSP come to power..can UP develop? Will you get 24 hours electricity? Will cases like Bulandshahr stop?"
According to the ruling party leader, India's development is not possible without development of Uttar Pradesh. "Modi ji [Prime Minister Narendra Modi] formed a government at the centre with the blessings of UP and we need your blessings again," he said, according to NDTV. The state is going for Assembly polls in 2017.
