After media reports on Friday claimed that tickets to British band Coldplay’s Mumbai concert will cost anywhere between Rs 25,000 to Rs 5 lakhs, the Global Education and Leadership Foundation announced that passes will actually be free. They will, however, need to be earned by completing certain tasks connected with the foundation’s development-oriented campaigns, after signing up on the website. The concert is scheduled to be held on November 19.

The band is playing at the Global Citizen Festival as part of the foundation’s Global Poverty Project. The festival has been held annually in New York for the past four years.

The date of the show in Mumbai coincides with World Toilet Day, and will also see performances by composer AR Rahman, Farhan Akhtar and others. The festival will also feature guest appearances by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amitabh Bachchan. Modi had addressed the festival in New York’s Central Park in 2014.

An official announcement about the festival is likely to be made on Monday by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
