Road rage: RJD legislator's son arrested in Bihar for allegedly stabbing man
Assault victim Pintu Kumar said Virendra Sinha’s son Kunal wanted him to follow his orders and allegedly used his father’s name and position to heckle him.
Rashtriya Janatal Dal MLA Virendra Sinha’s son was arrested on Saturday after he allegedly stabbed a man for not letting his car pass on Friday night, reported ANI. The incident took place in Bihar’s Aurangabad.
Assault victim Pintu Kumar, 26, said that Kunal wanted him to follow his orders and allegedly used his father’s name and position to heckle him. Kumar said, “He wanted me to follow his orders as his father is an MLA but I said no. He then stabbed me.”
The RJD legislator, however, said his son was not guilty and alleged that Kumar may have tried to kill him. “Pintu [Kumar] has a criminal background. He was trying to take over my son’s car, maybe he did it with the intention of killing him,” said Sinha.
In May, Janata Dal (United) lawmaker Manorama Devi’s son, was arrested by Bihar Police in Bodh Gaya for allegedly killing a 19-year-old for overtaking him and his bodyguard while they were travelling in their SUV. Last month, RJD MLA Arun Kumar Yadav and his two sons were booked for allegedly assaulting Scheduled Caste construction workers in Aaran village.
