Perfumer Monika Ghurde found dead with hands and legs tied in her Goa home
Police said they are suspecting that she was robbed, raped and killed when she was alone.
Well-known Indian perfume designer Monika Ghurde was found dead in her house in Goa's Sangolda area on Friday morning. An investigation was initiated after the police discovered her naked body with her hands and legs tied.
An official involved in the investigation told India Today that they suspect the 39-year-old was robbed, raped and killed when she was alone at home on Thursday night. Her body has been sent for autopsy and officials have started questioning Ghurde's neighbours.
Considered one of India’s best perfumers, Ghurde was a successful photographer before she changed careers. According to Herald, she set up her first lab in Chennai and started conducting ‘smell’ workshops across the globe.
