Philanthropist Parmeshwar Godrej dies

Philanthropist and well-known socialite Parmeshwar Godrej died on Monday night at the age of 70. She had reportedly been suffering from a lung disease, said dna. Godrej was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. Her husband, businessman Adi Godrej and chairman of the Godrej Group, has not yet made a public statement. She is survived by her husband and three children – Nisaba, Pirojsha, and Tanya Dubash.

She was also often featured in the tabloids, which routinely covered her fashion choices and high-profile appearances, including the lavish party she hosted for American talk show host Oprah Winfrey when she visited India in 2012.
