Former Apprentice contestant latest to accuse Donald Trump of sexual assault
Earlier on Friday, another woman came forward to say that the Repubican presidential candidate had groped her in a nightclub in the 1990s.
Republican candidate for United States President Donald Trump on Friday faced fresh accusations of sexual assault after a former contestant on his reality show, The Apprentice, said he had aggressively kissed and groped her during two private meetings. Summer Zervos read out a statement in the presence of her lawyer saying she had believed at the time that Trump was going discuss job opportunities with her. Trump denied the accusations.
Earlier in the day, another woman, Kristin Anderson, told the Washington Post that Trump had groped her in a nightclub in Manhattan in the 1990s. Anderson said that Trump reached under her skirt and touched her through her underwear. She described her reaction to the incident at the time as “Okay, Donald is gross. We all know he’s gross. Let’s just move on.”
At least four other women have come forward to allege that the billionaire touched them without their consent after a tape from 2005 surfaced on October 7 in which Trump boasts about groping women with no consequences. The tape has led Trump’s campaign to spiral out of control, with Republicans who have supported him through myriad other controversies so far, rescinding their endorsement.
