Donald Trump refuses to commit to accepting outcome of the November 8 US election
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said she was appalled that a nominee would take that position.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has refused to commit to accepting the outcome of the United States presidential election that will be held on November 8. At the final presidential debate in Las Vegas, when asked if he would accept the result, Trump said, “I will tell you at the time, I will keep you in suspense.” A decision not to endorse the election results would be a first in American history.
Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton said she was “appalled” that a nominee from one of the US’ two major political parties would take that position. She added, “Let’s be clear about what he is saying and what that means: He is denigrating, he is talking down our democracy”.
The two candidates argued over several topics including immigration policy, abortion, the sexual assault allegations against Trump and economic policy.
