Badminton: PV Sindhu wins thriller to enter China Open final

Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu entered the final of the China Open badminton tournament in Fuzhou on Saturday. She fought back from a game down to beat South Korea’s Sung Ji Hyun 11-21, 23-21, 21-19 in a thrilling semi-final encounter.
After losing the first game, Sindhu made a dramatic comeback in the second after saving three match points. In the final game, the 21-year-old trailed her opponent at the interval, but she clawed her way back to eventually clinch the game and with it, the match.
Sindhu will face China’s Sun Yu in the final on Sunday. Sun defeated Taiwan’s Tzu Ying Tai in the other semi-final.
India’s Saina Nehwal had won the China Open title in 2014 and finished runners-up last year.
