Delhi: Two teens stabbed to death in Rohini’s Japanese Park despite security
The police detained three suspects after finding the 19-year-olds lying in a pool of blood.

Two teenagers were stabbed to death in Delhi’s Japanese Park in Rohini on Tuesday. Police have detained three suspects in the case, including a neighbour and friend who had allegedly lured the 19-year-olds out of their houses. Officers had found one of their cell phones at the crime scene and are looking to ascertain whether a “love triangle” provoked the murders, The Indian Express reported on Wednesday.
Ankush and Ashiv’s bodies were found lying in a pool of blood, metres apart from each other. “It appears as if the victims were stabbed while they were running. Since the victims were well-built, it must have required more than one person to kill them,” an investigator told Hindustan Times. A passerby had called the police control room after spotting the bodies.
The Japanese Park is a favourite among young couples and the incident took place despite heightened security on Valentine’s Day. There were six private security guards patrolling the ground when the teenagers were stabbed, according to the Hindustan Times report, which added that the two were cousins.
