The cyber cell of Mumbai police on Friday registered an FIR against All India Bakchod after the comedy group posted a meme showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi using the dog filter on Snapchat, ANI reported. The group has deleted the post.

In the meme posted on Twitter, a doctored image showed Modi standing at a railway station using the filter. The picture was accompanied with #Wanderlust, taking a dig at the prime minister’s frequent foreign visits. AIB captioned the image as “Dog filter is lyf [life]”.

The group had faced severe backlash on social media with its founders, Tanmay Bhat and Rohan Joshi, even indulging in arguments over post.

AIB had landed into a legal tangle in 2014 following the infamous AIB Roast. Last year, in a video titled “Sachin vs Lata Civil War” Bhat had superimposed the images of singer Lata Mangeshkar and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar which he had posted on Snapchat. Bhat drew severe criticism for it and also attracted FIRs.
