Nobody can destroy AIADMK as Narendra Modi is with us, says Tamil Nadu minister
Rajenthra Bhalaji said that the Election Commission would once again allot the two-leaves symbol to the Panneerselvam-Palaniswami camp.
Tamil Nadu minister KT Rajenthra Bhalaji on Friday said nobody could oppose the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam as long as Prime Minister Narendra Modi supported the party, PTI reported. The dairy minister made the remarks addressing an AIADMK meeting in Andipatti town in Theni district of Tamil Nadu on Friday evening.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is with us, nobody can shake our party.” he said. “Nobody can destroy AIADMK,” he said. He claimed that 92% of the AIADMK General Council members supported Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami. “Out of the 50 [AIADMK] district secretaries, 46 are with us...Beyond all that, Modi is with us,” he said, according to The News Minute.
The minister also expressed confidence that the Election Commission would once again allot the two-leaves symbol of the AIADMK to the Palaniswami-O Panneerselvam camp.
The Supreme Court on October 6 had asked the Election Commission to decide on the AIADMK’s two-leaves symbol row by November 10. The top court was hearing a plea by ousted party leader TTV Dinakaran who had sought to extend the deadline to settle the dispute.
