Jammu and Kashmir: Six jawans injured as LeT militants open fire at CRPF vehicle in Anantnag
A search operation is under way to find the attackers.
Six jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force were injured when suspected militants attacked their vehicle on Thursday morning in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, Greater Kashmir reported. The Lashkar-e-Taiba have claimed responsibility for the attack, according to the local report.
The soldiers were taken to a hospital, and a search operation is under way to find the militants.
The attackers opened fire on the vehicle of the 96 Battalion CRPF at Lazibal in Anantnag district at 8.30 am, a police official was quoted as saying. Two soldiers suffered bullet injuries, and four others were hit by broken glass panes of the vehicle.
