Security forces killed two suspected terrorists in a gunfight in the Shopian district in South Kashmir on Tuesday, Kashmir Director General of Police SP Vaid said.

Soldiers from the 44 Rashtriya Rifles and the Special Operations Group of the police launched a cordon-and-search operation at Batmuran village after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants there, the Global News Service agency reported.
