Madhya Pradesh: Officials detain 2 agents and 48 applicants for FCI question paper leak
The Special Task Force has seized handwritten question papers and answer sheets from them.
The Madhya Pradesh Special Task Force on Sunday detained two agents and 48 aspirants for their alleged role in leaking a Food Corporation of India examination paper, ANI reported. The personnel have seized handwritten question papers and answer sheets from them.
The 50 people detained in connection with the Food Corporation of India paper leak were caught solving the question paper in a Gwalior hotel, hours before the examination’s scheduled time on Sunday, The Indian Express reported.
The Special Task Force informed the corporation’s officials about the leak almost 90 minutes before thousands of candidates vying for 217 security guards posts appeared for the examination in 132 centers in Madhya Pradesh. Special Task Force Superintendent of Police Sunil Shivhare told The India Express that the agents, identified as Harish Kumar and Ashutosh Kumar, had allegedly demanded Rs five lakh for each post.
This comes days after the Central Board of Secondary Education Class 10 mathematics exam and Class 12 economics question paper leak triggered widespread protests and forced the board to announce dates for re-tests.
