Jammu and Kashmir: Body of abducted youth found decapitated in Hajin, police say militants involved
The victim has been identified as Manzoor Ahmed Bhat, a shepherd.

The body of a youth, who was reported abducted on April 4, was found decapitated on the outskirts of Jammu and Kashmir’s Hajin on Friday, the police said. The victim has been identified as Manzoor Ahmed Bhat, a shepherd. His body was found in an orchard in Bonmohalla Hajin, The Greater Kashmir reported.
The police suspect militant Mohammad Saleem Parrey was involved in the killing. “Manzoor [Bhat] was abducted by militants affiliated to the Lashkar-e-Taiba after they barged into the house of Abdul Gaffar Bhat [Manzoor’s father] and assaulted those inside,” the police statement said. Manzoor’s father had sustained bullet injuries during the incident.
A case has been registered and an investigation is under way.
