Three unidentified men allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl in an under-construction house in Jharkhand’s Dumka district on Monday, IANS reported.

The Class 6 student told the police that she was trying to close the door of her home in Kadhalbill village on Sunday evening when three people barged in and abducted her. They then took her to the construction site and allegedly raped her.

Dumka Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal said the police have registered a case under the relevant sections, ANI reported. “The girl has been admitted for medical treatment,” Kaushal said. “A search operation has been launched to nab the culprits.”
