A Pakistani court has convicted an accused in a case of child pornography for the first time, Dawn reported on Thursday. A court in Lahore found Sadat Amin from Sargodha guilty of being involved in a global child pornography racket and sentenced him to seven years in prison and imposed a fine of 1.2 million Pakistani rupees.

The Federal Investigation Agency’s Cyber Crime branch found more than 6,50,000 pictures and videos related to child pornography in Amin’s possession. The pornography ring was purportedly spread across Sweden, Italy, United States and the United Kingdom, Dawn reported.
