Jammu and Kashmir: Soldier, two suspected militants killed in gunfight in Bandipora
The operation was launched six days ago after an Army patrol party was attacked in the district’s Panar forest area.

A soldier and two suspected militants were killed in a gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Thursday morning, PTI reported.
The operation was launched in the Panar forest area of Bandipora in North Kashmir six days back after the suspected militants attacked an Army patrol party, defence spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia told Greater Kashmir.
The suspected militants’ bodies were recovered along with arms and ammunition. Security forces are at present ascertaining their identities and group, officials said.
