2019 General Elections: Arvind Kejriwal says AAP will not join any Opposition alliance
The Delhi chief minister said the parties talking about forming such a coalition have played no role in the country’s development.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said the Aam Aadmi Party would not join any Opposition alliance for the 2019 General Elections, PTI reported. Kejriwal claimed that the parties talking about forming such a coalition have played no role in the country’s development.
Kejriwal, who spoke to reporters in Haryana’s Rohtak, said his party would contest the Assembly elections and the General Elections in the state from all constituencies.
The Delhi chief minister blamed the Narendra Modi-led Centre for “creating hurdles” and not letting his government work for people’s welfare. “We have done revolutionary work in the education and health sectors in Delhi,” he claimed.
Kejriwal told Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to learn the art of development from the Delhi government, pointing out that the state lags behind the national Capital in this regard. The AAP convenor wondered why the Khattar-led government could not bring in a “revolution” in the power, water, health and education sectors when Delhi could do so despite not having full statehood.
Kejriwal also demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the family of a soldier from Ambala district who died while foiling an infiltration bid in Jammu and Kashmir’s Gurez on Tuesday.
