Afghanistan: Gunmen attack intelligence training centre in Kabul, three people wounded
Security forces killed all three insurgents, the country’s interior minister said.
Unidentified gunmen attacked an intelligence training centre in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Thursday, leading to a battle with security forces.
The gunfight began near the National Security Directorate – the Afghan intelligence agency. The attack, which began around 10 am local time (11 am Indian Standard Time), ended by 4 pm (5 pm IST), Minister of Interior Wais Barmak said according to TOLOnews.
Barmak said there were three insurgents, and all of them have been killed. At least three people were injured.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
The attack came just a day after a suicide bombing inside an educational institute in Kabul, which killed at least 48 people and wounded 67. The Islamic State group on Thursday claimed responsibility for the bombing.
